Rad people of all genders, 18 and older.
Texting is a shitty way to get to know someone — you can't hear their voice, feel their vibe, or know for sure that the person texting you is the same babe you swiped right on. At the same time, we know that video messages can be daunting. That's why, when you match with someone on Vibes, your first exchange is always pixelated. With pixelation, you don't feel self-conscious when you hit record, but you do see the other person well enough to make sure they're actually someone you vibe with. And after you and your match exchange messages for the first time, you're in control — turning pixelation on or off at any point is entirely up to you.
No. Live video can be awkward, and sometimes straight-up scary. On Vibes, you're always in control — when you receive a video message, whether you respond is up to you. If you're not feeling them, or if anything about their message made you feel disrespected or unsafe, their story ends there.
Our strictly enforced code of conduct demands that every member of our community treat others with respect. Because our unique moderation system is seamlessly integrated into the app, creeps and harassers won't slip through the cracks. And in the rare event that someone does violate our community standards, they'll be permanently banned from Vibes, keeping our community a safe space to swipe right.
Nope — you'll only be banned if our rules were actually broken. If a message is reported, we'll review it to determine whether the message actually violated our code of conduct. So long as you didn't break the rules, you'll be free to vibe on.
We believe that if someone wants to meet new people without being exposed to DTFs, dick pics, harassment, violence, or hate speech, they should be able to do that.
Yes, that's what we're saying. If you meet someone on Vibes, and you both want to take it to the next level, that's cool, but you'll need to take it elsewhere.
Yes. Currently, Vibes is only available on iOS. Although we don't have a web app, we're planning to add an Android version soon – so Android users, stay tuned.
Nope. Vibes is free to download, and free to use.
